Job description

Veterinary Radiologist

DoveLewis Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Radiologist to join our specialty and emergency care team. This role provides advanced diagnostic imaging expertise to support complex cases across the hospital, working closely with emergency clinicians, critical care, surgery, oncology, and other specialty services.

What You’ll Do
  • Interpret radiographs, ultrasound, CT, MRI, and other diagnostic imaging studies within your area of expertise.
  • Provide timely, clear imaging reports and diagnostic recommendations.
  • Consult with clinicians to determine appropriate imaging modalities, protocols, and next steps in patient care.
  • Perform and/or oversee imaging procedures with a focus on image quality and patient safety.
  • Collaborate with veterinary technicians, specialists, emergency clinicians, and referring veterinarians.
  • Help advance imaging protocols, services, and clinical capabilities at DoveLewis.
  • Teach and mentor veterinary professionals, students, and trainees through rounds and other educational opportunities.
  • Contribute to a culture of clinical excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
What We’re Looking For
  • DVM or equivalent degree.
  • Board certified or board eligible in veterinary radiology
  • Completion of an advanced training program or residency in veterinary radiology.
  • Current Oregon veterinary license or eligibility for licensure.
  • Strong diagnostic, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to patient care, education, and continued professional development.
