Why Join Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital

If you're looking to practice diagnostic imaging in a high-acuity, collaborative specialty environment with exceptional imaging technology, Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital (Mass Vet) offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact every day. Located just 11 miles north of Boston, Mass Vet is home to one of New England's premier Level 1 emergency and specialty centers, with a diverse caseload and an experienced multidisciplinary team.

You'll join an established Diagnostic Imaging service within a recently renovated 36,000-square-foot hospital supporting Surgery, Neurology, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Ophthalmology, Oncology, Anesthesia, Critical Care, and a busy 24-hour Emergency service. Your imaging expertise will directly support specialists across the hospital as they diagnose and manage complex cases.

Mass Vet has made significant investments in its diagnostic imaging capabilities, including a 2024 GE OE Elite CFD C-arm fluoroscopy unit, Siemens Sempra internal MRI, 2025 Canon Prime Aquilion CT upgrade, GE Mini C-arm, two Canon Aplio i700 ultrasound suites, and two digital radiology suites. You'll have the technology and clinical support to practice advanced diagnostic imaging while continuing to grow your expertise.

Teaching is also an important part of the role. Mass Vet maintains a successful residency program, and you'll have the opportunity to mentor and guide residents while contributing to their clinical development. You'll work alongside colleagues who value collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.

Just as importantly, Mass Vet believes in caring for its team. A newly upgraded employee breakroom, on-staff social worker, and supportive hospital culture reflect the hospital's commitment to creating an environment where clinicians can do excellent work while feeling supported themselves.

Woburn offers convenient access to Boston while providing a more relaxed community setting just outside the city. You'll have easy access to New England's restaurants, cultural attractions, outdoor recreation, and four-season activities while living within close reach of one of the region's major metropolitan areas.
