JOB DESCRIPTION:
Position Overview
The Facilities Planner and Scheduler II is responsible for providing planning and scheduling support for all maintenance activities. This position is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) or Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). This position will function as the primary point of contact for responding to customers work requests. This position will work directly with the maintenance teams and customers to accurately identify business needs and available resources to appropriately prioritize work requests. This will involve ensuring required resources are identified, planned, estimated, organized, and scheduled prior to execution for efficient utilization of the maintenance resources with a strong emphasis on customer service. They will work closely with the facilities maintenance department to plan and schedule facilities preventive maintenance work with the goal of minimizing equipment downtime and eliminating interruptions to normal operations. This position will be responsible for regularly reviewing planned and unplanned work requests, identifying material needs, prioritizing resources to ensure the most efficient use of available staff based on work backlog criticality. This role will collaborate closely with the EAM team to reduce cost of maintenance, implement facilities maintenance planning improvements and aggressively tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
This role will collaborate closely with stakeholders and technical SME's across multiple Exact Sciences facility locations compromised of office, call centers, GMP regulated laboratories, manufacturing, warehouse spaces, research laboratories, CAP/CLIA regulated clinical labs and employee amenities spaces.
Essential Duties
include but are not limited to the following:
Prioritize, schedule, and coordinate daily maintenance activities.
Research, plan, and prioritize work requests.
Order necessary repair materials for approved work requests.
Prepare purchase requisitions and expedite, as needed, delivery of products and services.
Provide estimated time and costs for planning purposes.
Improve work force productivity and quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning and coordination of labor, parts, and access to equipment.
Communicate daily with business units and become the liaison between them and the maintenance crew to coordinate when certain jobs can be scheduled and performed.
Provide a safe working environment by assuring compliance with all applicable codes and laws.
Provide interface between maintenance employees, operation personnel, and outside resources.
Assist in development and improvement of maintenance strategy including PM's, predictive maintenance, and OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
Provide training and user support on EAM or CMMS systems.
Maintain records and files essential to meaningful analysis and generate data reports.
Planner must coordinate with purchasing and finance to coordinate procurement of parts, tools, equipment, or vendor services.
Monitor contract review and approval with vendors.
Maintain asset hierarchy, equipment numbers, function location, and serial numbers.
Create new and update existing maintenance plans; including revising task lists, labor hours required, recommended parts to have available on PMs, activity codes, BOM, etc.
Ensure cost are allocated to the correct cost center.
Follow-up on and maintain current status of equipment modifications, overhauls, and work orders.
Ensure safety, environmental, and quality requirements are being followed.
Creates and runs various work order metrics reports as needed.

Ability to work nights and/or weekends.
Ability to comply with any applicable personal protective equipment requirements.
Ability to work seated for approximately 75% of a typical working day. Ability to work standing for approximately 25% of a typical working day.
Ability to conduct on-site visual inspections of projects involving walking, standing, climbing stairs and ladders at heights up to 20 feet, stooping, crouching, and balancing, including roof inspections and other precarious locations.
Ability to work in various environmental conditions when conducting visual inspections of construction including noise, fumes, dust, and dirt.
Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day.
Ability to work on a computer and phone simultaneously.
Minimum Qualifications
Associates degree in Mechanical Maintenance or related field; or High School Degree/General Education Diploma and 2 years of relevant experience in lieu of Associates degree.
4+ years of experience working in mechanical maintenance or related technical / trade field; planning, scheduling, or tracking status for trade projects, work orders, corrective maintenance, or preventive maintenance.
Proficient in Microsoft Office to including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.
Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field of study.
OSHA knowledge.
2+ years of experience working with laboratory equipment in a laboratory type environment.
2+ years of experience in regulated environment, e.g., ISO 13485, FDA GMP, or USDA.
3+ years of experience as a dedicated CMMS or EAM maintenance planner and/or scheduler.
Experience with Infor EAM software.
The base pay for this position is
$50,700.00 - $101,300.00
