POSTAL AFFAIRS MANAGER

$60,000 - $80,000/year based on experience

About the Role

Serve as the site’s primary resource for USPS postal compliance and mailing best practices to ensure customers receive accurate, cost-effective, and timely mailing solutions.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the site’s subject matter expert on USPS regulations, ensuring customer mailings meet compliance requirements and maximize postal savings.
  • Provide hands-on support to internal teams and customers with USPS documentation, permit management, and interpretation of postal guidelines.
  • Monitor and communicate USPS changes, proactively advising customers and site leadership on impacts to schedules, pricing, and mailing strategies.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with local USPS representatives to resolve issues and support customer mailing success.
  • Partner with the sales team to develop customer-focused postal solutions that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service delivery.
  • Evaluate, implement, and maintain mailing and subscriber service software to support site operational efficiency and customer accuracy.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the Subscriber Services department to ensure timely execution, service quality, and achievement of site performance goals.
  • Foster a customer-centric team environment by promoting collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Recruit, train, coach, and conduct performance evaluations to develop a high-performing team focused on customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with Sheridan sites and KGL List Services to ensure consistent processes, data accuracy, and seamless cross-site support.
  • Provide open communications to both employees and management. Set the proper example and apply company policies as defined in CJK Employee Handbook.

 

What You Must Bring

  • 5 years of experience in customer service, mailing operations, or related print/mail industry environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in USPS postal regulations, compliance requirements, and mailing best practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with customers, USPS representatives, sales teams, and cross-site partners.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage, coach, and develop a customer-focused team.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Presort and Post-presort software, and Postalone applications.
  • Experience supporting USPS documentation, permit management, and postal reporting processes.
  • Ability to build cross-functional relationships and serve as a liaison across multiple locations and departments.
  • High School diploma.

  • Bachelor’s Degree
