Job Description
Join our eLearning team as Lead 3D Designer-lead, mentor, and build bold 3D + interactive prototypes that bring training to life.
As the Training Lead 3D Designer in our eLearning team, you lead the creative vision and execution of high quality 3D assets that elevate digital learning modules. You oversee end to end design, modeling, and animation, mentor and develop a high performing team of designers, and collaborate closely with instructional designers, developers, and subject matter experts to deliver innovative, learner centric solutions.
You prototype interactive experiences and program core functionality, translating creative concepts into polished, technically sound implementations that meet quality, timeline, and performance goals.
Job responsibilities
  • Oversee the full 3D eLearning project lifecycle from concept through completion, managing planning, design, development, testing, and delivery
  • Create and review detailed 3D models, environments, and animations aligned to learning objectives and visual standards
  • Partner with instructional designers to visualize complex concepts, processes, and scenarios
  • Optimize 3D assets for performance and cross-platform compatibility, including polycount, textures, draw calls, and memory usage
  • Integrate 3D content into eLearning authoring tools and platforms, with a strong emphasis on Unity
  • Utilize C# and/or visual scripting to implement interactive elements, behaviors, UI, and assessment logic within Unity
  • Prototype and program interactive experiences that enhance learner engagement and knowledge retention
  • Develop and deploy interactive 3D content via WebGL for browser-based eLearning, ensuring stability and performance across modern browsers
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain visual consistency and align content with instructional goals and brand guidelines.
  • Establish and maintain best practices for 3D asset creation, workflow, version control, and quality standards
  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices in real-time 3D, eLearning technologies, and production workflows

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Bachelor's degree in 3D Design, Animation, Graphic Design, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Extensive experience in 3D modeling, texturing, rigging, and animation
  • Proficiency in Unity
  • Experience with C# and/or visual scripting in Unity
  • Experience developing interactive 3D content for WebGL
  • At least one shipped product or game on mobile platforms
  • Proven leadership experience with a track record of managing or mentoring other designers
  • Proficiency with industry-standard 3D tools (e.g., Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, Cinema 4D)
  • Strong portfolio showcasing 3D work, with a focus on educational or training contexts
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Knowledge of instructional design principles
  • Experience with AR/VR or interactive media
  • Familiarity with video editing and compositing tools
