JOB SUMMARY: As an Abbey Resort associate, you will have the opportunity to be part of an incredible team at an all service resort situated on the beautiful shores of Geneva Lake. We aim to hire individuals who are ready and committed to exceed the expectation of every guest by genuinely creating lasting memories, maintaining a positive attitude and by providing outstanding service every time.
BASIC FUNCTION: The Spa Receptionist is responsible for checking guests in and out of the Spa, booking appointments, and take payments all while maintaining a professional and calm atmosphere. They must be able keep the desk area organized and always look well groomed.
QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Previous experience in customer service preferred
• Must have strong interpersonal skills.
• Be able to stand for up to 8 hours,
• Computer skills: word and Microsoft outlook knowledge, Spa or reservation software basic knowledge encouraged.
• Proper phone etiquette.
• Typing minimum of 25 wpm.
• Basic mathematical skills for money handling.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Check guests in an out of the spa, acting as spa concierge as needed.
• Having working knowledge of all retail products and assist in commission management.
• Manage office supplies and the daily functions of phone calls, scheduling appointments, and payments.
• Open/close the spa when assigned.
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
• Effectively interact with people of diverse socio-economic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.
• Required to perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
• Scheduled hours may vary on business needs and may or may not include holidays, weekends, various shifts, overtime or reduced hours.
• Work cooperatively with other departments.
• Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of facility daily.
• Maintain a professional appearance in all areas of the hotel.
