Job description

We are currently seeking a Global Exchange Advisor who will support our students through their journey to take part in our global mobility opportunities, help them to 'Go Global'. Guiding students through the full lifecycle undertaking a global mobility and helping them to use these unique experiences to service them in their next steps.
(This is a 0.4 fixed term contract covering maternity leave, from 28th August 2026 - 22nd October 2027) 
PLEASE NOTE: This role is part of a job share with the other half already in post.

You will be asked further down in your application to select your working pattern preference.
Please see options below.

Option a) Wed 5hrs, Thurs 5.5hrs & Fri (5.5hr) - School hours type role

Option b) Thurs & Fri (7.5 each) +1 hour handover on Wednesday's 16hrs (7.5 x2 + 1 hour weds)

There is some flexibility in this but we need Thursday and Friday covered and would like some handover with the current job share who works Mon-Weds.

This role primarily focuses on promoting, recruiting, and supporting students before, during and after their semesters abroad experiences. With a secondary focus on other global mobility opportunities funding through the Turing Scheme, working with careers on work placements and academic on dissertation research placements. You will be jointly responsible for the administration and reporting of the Turing Scheme. Some weekend and evening work is required as a part of this role. 
  • Experience of record keeping, report writing and participating in team work documentation.
  • Experience of using computerised systems including database, internet and Microsoft 365
  • Experience of the higher education sector in order to speak with knowledge about issues such as student life           
  • Excellent administration and organizational skills to enable smooth running and job share working
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentational skills
  • Ability to cope in a busy work environment
  • Educated to degree level, including English Language and Mathematics GCSE grade C level or equivalent.
  • An understanding of international student mobility
  • An understanding of the international student experience

Salary Grade 6 - Starting from 13,580 rising to 15,077 per annum, pro rata 33,951 to 37,694
The salary range shows the potential maximum pay progression in addition to any annual inflationary increase to your pay. Please note that our default position is to appoint into the lower end of the range, unless there are exceptional circumstances.
