Join our team as a school based Behavior Technician to be a part of our mission to make a difference.
Our Behavior Technicians work as valued members of our therapy teams to provide individualized services to children with autism, working under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The Behavioral Technician will provide individualized therapy services in a 1:1 teaching format to children with autism in a school setting.

This position will support clients in the Exeter school district.

What you'll do in this role:

  • Assist in the implementation of positive behavior support plans, IEP, and/or 504 plans utilizing ABA principles in the school setting.

  • Provide direct 1:1 and/or small group therapy to identified student(s) to implement skill acquisition and behavior reduction interventions as directed by the BCBA.

  • Implement and report data on programs such as student's IEP goals, behavioral management, social skills and academic areas.

  • Collaborate, communicate, and assist with the training of school district staff.

  • Provide a safe and supportive environment for students and school teams (i.e., teachers, paraprofessionals, related service providers, and administrators).

  • Implements the student's behavior intervention plan and/or safety plan as developed by the BCBA.

  • Collect and analyze skill acquisition and challenging behavior data, with oversight and supervision provided by a BCBA.

We are looking for compassionate Behavioral Technicians with:

  • Ability to start Part Time (8:30am-1 pm M-F) and transition to Full Time in August

  • Willingness to drive to Springfield and Methacton School Districts is a plus

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Bachelor or Associate Degree in behavioral health, Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Special Education, or related field, preferred

  • Valid driver license and ability to travel to various schools within assigned region

  • Ability to acquire RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) certification within 45 days of hire date, with training provided by Surpass Behavioral Health.

  • Prior professional experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) in a multi-disciplinary team setting is a plus!

  • Works with integrity and adheres to the BACB Ethical Code, HIPAA practices, and company policies

  • Ability to move freely, quickly, and frequently from a seated position (on the floor or in a chair) to a standing position as well as the ability to lift items up to 50 lbs. on occasion
