Job description

Job Summary:

NorthStar Restoration Services is seeking a dependable, hardworking Weekend Shift Restoration Technician to join our team. This position is ideal for individuals looking to work three 12-hour shifts each weekend while earning full-time benefits and enjoying weekdays off.

As a Restoration Technician, you will help restore homes and businesses following water, fire, mold, and other property damage. You'll work alongside an experienced team using specialized equipment, hand tools, and industry-leading restoration techniques to help customers recover after unexpected disasters.

Employees work 36 hours each weekend and receive pay equivalent to 40 hours by earning a 4-hour completion bonus each weekend.


Responsibilities:
- Conduct fire, water, and mold remediation tasks according to industry standards.
- Remove debris and hazardous materials from job sites to ensure safety and cleanliness.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to build and restore damaged structures.
- Perform carpet cleaning and other cleaning tasks as required.
- Collaborate with team members to complete restoration projects efficiently and effectively.
- Adhere to safety regulations and protocols at all times.


Qualifications:

- Previous experience in the restoration industry is preferred but not necessary
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and equipment specific to restoration work.
- Knowledge of asbestos abatement procedures is a plus.
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments and lift heavy objects.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.


This job description outlines the primary duties of a Restoration Technician; however, additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.


Physical Requirements

  • Lift up to 30-60 pounds frequently during shift. Occasional 100 pounds
  • Bend, stoop, push, and pull in a work environment for up to an 12 hour work shift.
