POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
Afognak Diversified Services, Inc a company of Afognak Native Corporation has opportunities for full-time Armed Security Officers.The Armed Security Officer duties and responsibilities include a variety of security related duties to include, but not limited to Access Control; Roving Patrols; Traffic Control; Control Issuance and Storage of keys; Security and Fire Systems; Building Rules and Regulations; Response to Incident, Injury, Illness; and other security related duties as required. This is a full-time position.
  • Responds to a variety of calls/incidents, secures/safeguards crime scenes, perform crowd control as required, performs personnel, vehicular and building facility checks, First Aid and CPR as required, and completes all required reports, forms, and other documentation IAW established procedures.
  • Staffs post continuously and provide access control; deters/reports unauthorized personnel or vehicular entry, directs traffic and provides information to visitors, and screens packages
  • Safely maintains and qualifies with assigned weapon, maintains uniform and grooming standards IAW company policies, operates patrol vehicle in a safe manner
  • Conducts flag protocols
  • Safeguards all assets, provide motorist assistance and escort persons and equipment
  • Conducts any other assignments in accordance with established SOP's
  • Familiar with Security systems including CCTV and mobile security applications

Payrate: $20.00 to $25.00 hourly
Upon completion of all required internal certifications and training, the Security Officer is eligible for an hourly payrate increase of up to $2.00 more within 90 days of hire date.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Flexible to work various shifts, to include weekends and Holidays
  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment physical exam and drug screen
  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment Physical Readiness Test
  • Must possess and maintain state required Armed Security Officer licensing
  • Must possess and maintain state required Concealed Carry Permit (where applicable)
  • Current Operator's permit. (Driver's License)
  • Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work with little supervision
