Description:

The Facilities Technician - Weekend/Holiday - Janitor reports to the Continuous Improvement Manager and maintains a good working relationship with Manufacturing Operations and Management Team. This position also works under the guidance of TS-16949 Policies, work instructions and PM procedures.

Requirements:

Responsible for performing a variety of duties to ensure the maintenance, neatness, cleanliness, and safety of the facility.

Perform temperature inspections as necessary to verify that the designated furnaces are functioning within condition limits for the purpose intended.

Maintain supply inventory and submits orders through appropriate sources in order to ensure adequate supply at all times.

Performs a variety of cleaning tasks including but not limited to:

  • Mopping, sweeping, trash collection, removal of trash, cleaning of the restrooms, break rooms, and training room.
  • Cleans and sanitizes water fountains, floors, walls, windows, doors, blinds, bathroom fixtures, etc.
  • Replenish restroom supplies such as paper products and soap dispensers as needed; this also includes cloth towel dispensers if applicable.
  • Move furniture and equipment as assigned.
  • Monitor and maintain the outside cleanliness of the facility and parking lots.
  • Reports to supervisor items needing attention: make simple repairs and adjustments including unstopping toilet(s) as requested.

Academic Requirements


High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred


Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Requires knowledge of trade fundamentals sufficient to perform specialized service and repair work.
  • Ability to understand and complete verbal instructions.
  • Must be a team player committed to working in a quality environment.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively for scheduling and training.
  • Must be able to work every weekend and Company observed holidays.
