Our client, a global nonprofit organization at the forefront of saving and healing lives through innovations in tissue and organ donation, transplantation, and research, is seeking a Process Technician to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a highly respected organization, receive industry-leading training, and gain hands-on experience with state-of-the-art equipment in a regulated medical device manufacturing environment.

  • Monday-Friday | 2:00 PM- 10 PM
Pay:
  • $23.50/hour

Terms: Contract (6 months with possibility of extension or conversion)
Position Overview
The Process Technician is responsible for the aseptic processing of human tissue for transplantation within an ISO-certified cleanroom environment. This role plays a vital part in preparing life-saving tissue products while following strict quality, safety, and regulatory standards. Candidates must be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment that operates 24/7. Occasional overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required to meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities
  • Process human tissue products using aseptic techniques in an ISO-certified cleanroom.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), GMP, and quality system requirements.
  • Maintain sterile conditions by cleaning and sanitizing equipment and cleanroom environments.
  • Complete detailed production documentation accurately and in real time.
  • Inspect tissue products, supplies, and documentation to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Measure, label, package, and prepare tissue products according to established procedures.
  • Prepare tissue and environmental samples for laboratory testing.
  • Operate measuring devices including rulers, calipers, micrometers, graduated cylinders, and digital timers.
  • Prepare and mix cleaning and processing chemicals according to established formulas.
  • Maintain inventory using FIFO practices and ensure work areas remain fully stocked.
  • Safely handle sharps, biological materials, and hazardous waste while following all safety protocols.
  • Participate in cleanroom shutdowns, equipment setup, and operational support activities.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Facilities, R&D, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Complete required technical and professional development training and maintain required certifications.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist with special projects as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree is a plus.
  • Ability to accurately perform basic math, measurements, and calculate ratios for liquids and powders.
  • Comfortable working in a cleanroom environment while wearing required PPE for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Manufacturing, medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, laboratory, or cleanroom experience is preferred but not required.
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Preferred Skills
  • Experience in GMP, ISO, FDA-regulated, or cleanroom environments.
  • Knowledge of aseptic techniques and contamination control.
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to use precision measuring tools.
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
