Position Overview

The Weaver position is a non-exempt, hourly position responsible for operating and tending textile air jet looms using knowledge of machine functions to ensure that good quality fabric is made. This is a Day shift position that requires you work 12 hour shifts 8:00am to 8:00pm with rotating days and weekends. 

What you'll do

  • Safely operate and monitor loom production per fabric style and yarn style.
  • Ensure that looms are in good operating condition by periodically cycling/inspecting looms to detect any weaving defects.
  • Work closely with the Loom Technician in order to improve quality and yield.
  • Ensure selvedges are running per work instructions.
  • Keep warm ends as straight as possible for optimum/quality yield.
  • Remove any weft/warp ends and restart looms without weaving defects.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of the area.
  • All other duties as assigned

Who you are

  • Ability to push/pull occasionally 20-22 lbs
  • Ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Ability to perform standard body movements frequent standing and walking around and occasional forward bending, squatting, stooping, reaching, pulling, pushing
  • Ability to use visual acuity and hand-eye co ordination
  • Ability to work in an environment where temperature varies in range
  • Ability to work and keep pace in fast paced environment
  • Ability to perform basic computer functions
  • Ability to tolerate moderate to loud plant noise levels
  • Ability to perform basic to intermediate math equations
