About this opportunity:
Burris Laboratory School is seeking part-time, temporary athletic coaches to support and mentor students on various teams. Hours will include evenings and some weekends.
Compensation is determined by specific role and responsibilities and normal range is $500.00-$6000.00 for the season.
Candidates for this position must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
What you'll do and what you'll bring:
Position function: Provide coaching and training to student athletes.
Minimum Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of applicable sport
  • Must be able to effectively communicate to students, parents, officials, school administration.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Coaching and Training: Develop and implement training programs
  • Student Development: Help students establish personal and team goals.
  • Game Management: Plan game strategies, select players
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure a safe environment for athletes, adhere to all school and safety standards, complete required safety training and implement necessary.
  • Promote sportsmanship among athletes.
  • Administrative Tasks: record keeping and reporting to school administrators and athletic director.
