Surgical Services Team Opportunity

Join the Surgical Services Team at BJC Healthcare - Barnes Jewish Hospital. BJC Healthcare - Barnes Jewish Hospital is dedicated to your growth and development. Be a part of an environment where you can thrive!

Schedule: Weekend Option Pay - Saturdays, Sunday, and one day during the week.

Hours: Weekends - 6:30am - 7:00pm/ Weekday - 6:15am - 6:45pm

Holiday Rotation

Responsibilities - Candidate will work with the CT team, so CT experience is a preference.

***$12,500 Sign on Bonus***

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Performs surgical duties for operating room procedures under the direct supervision of a registered nurse.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares operating room for surgical patient, reviews preference cards to determine surgeon needs, obtains the necessary supplies and equipment for the procedure, ensures cleanliness of room, and assists with opening sterile supplies.
  • Performs surgical scrub duties, and assists with the collection, identification, and disposition of cultures and specimens.
  • Assists in turning over of room, and ensures supplies, instruments, and equipment are returned to proper location.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience: Less than 2 years or military equivalent experience
  • Supervisor Experience: No Experience

Preferred Requirements

  • Education: Accredited Surgical Program
  • Licenses & Certifications: Surgical Technician
