Weekend teaching jobs, such as tutoring or private instruction, can pay around $4,000 weekly depending on the subject, experience, and client base. These roles typically require strong knowledge in the subject area and effective communication skills but do not always require a formal degree.

What side hustle can I do as a teacher?

As a teacher, popular side hustles include tutoring students in subjects you are proficient in, creating online courses or educational content, and offering freelance services such as editing or curriculum development. What is weekend teaching?

Weekend teaching refers to instructional roles where educators teach classes or courses during the weekends, typically on Saturdays and/or Sundays. This arrangement is common for adult education, supplementary classes, language schools, or tutoring centers that accommodate students' weekday schedules. Weekend teachers may work with children, teens, or adults, providing academic instruction, enrichment, or exam preparation. The role often requires flexibility, strong communication skills, and the ability to engage learners during non-traditional hours.

How to make an extra $1000 a month as a teacher?

Weekend teachers can increase their income by offering private tutoring, creating online courses, or teaching additional classes outside regular hours. Building a reputation and leveraging skills in high-demand subjects or exam preparation can help reach the $1000 monthly goal more effectively.

What is the 70 30 rule in teaching?

The 70/30 rule in teaching suggests that approximately 70% of learning occurs through active engagement, such as discussions and hands-on activities, while about 30% comes from passive listening or reading. For weekend teaching roles, this emphasizes the importance of interactive lessons to maximize student understanding and participation.

Job description

ARE YOU A TEACHER LOOKING FOR SUMMER CLASSES? WE ARE HIRING NOW!

HUNTINGTON LEARNING CENTER is the most established tutoring, exam preparation, and supplemental education provider in the US. With over 300 locations, Huntington Learning Center is recognized as a national leader in equipping students (K-12) with the tools needed to achieve academic success. We assess students and individualize student-specific programs, which our instructors then implement using proven techniques and strategies.

The Huntington Learning Center in Plantation, FL offers a highly supportive, fun, and motivational teaching environment with competitive pay, continual training, and flexible hours (evenings and weekends). Our instructors teach on an individual basis, which enables students to achieve tremendous progress in a relatively short period of time. As our students improve their skills, their confidence in learning grows, along with their motivation to do better in school.

Our summer schedule provides teachers the opportunity to continue teaching for as many hours as they would like, from as few as 6 to upwards of 30. Don't spend your summer looking for odd jobs; do what you love here at Huntington.

Benefits of working at Huntington Learning Center:

The Huntington Team:

At Huntington, we believe that for each of us to succeed, it is necessary to have a positive and supportive environment where everyone is part of a professional team. Each person in the center is friendly, helpful, and committed to personal and professional growth.

Training:

Along with being fully trained on Huntington curriculum and guidelines, you will receive continuous training opportunities, with which even the most experienced teachers can gain new insights. Huntington’s unique skills and techniques add useful and valuable tools to any teacher’s repertoire. We will increase your effectiveness, enhance your present skills, and help you develop new ones.

Students:

Work directly with a variety of students at all grade levels on an individual basis. There are no discipline problems, and full-time staff conducts all parent discussions, so you as the teacher can focus on doing what you do best: teaching. Because you can track each of your student’s daily progress, you will see a marked improvement in their skills, confidence, and motivation, which in turn rewards you with the knowledge that you truly are making a difference in their lives.

Successful candidates will demonstrate:
Patience, resourcefulness, and resilience.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
