About the Role
The Test Equipment Engineering (TEE) organization is responsible for the design, development, and integration of test systems across all Raytheon Test Equipment products. Our multidisciplinary engineering team supports the full lifecycle of test system development-from requirements definition to system design and integration.
As aTest Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in coordinating across engineering disciplines to define, design, and document test environment capabilities and requirements. You'll be a systems thinker with a deep understanding of development, production, user operations, and embedded test processes. Your work will directly influence how prime hardware is tested at every level-from individual components to full system integration-ensuring robustness, efficiency, and affordability.
Key Responsibilities

  • Define and document test environment capabilities and requirements across engineering teams.
  • Develop and integrate test systems using cutting-edge technologies and tools.
  • Apply systems engineering principles to ensure comprehensive lifecycle testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support hardware development, manufacturing, and user operations.
  • Drive improvements in product affordability through enhanced built-in-test capabilities and lifecycle cost reduction.
  • Interface with Department of Defense (DoD) customers and support contract requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate technology risks through informed system design decisions.
  • Support capital investment planning for specialized test infrastructure.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience in developmental test processes, test setups, and system integration.
  • Hands-on experience with test equipment design and transition to production environments.
  • Strong understanding of verification and validation methodologies.
  • Ability to think strategically and see the "big picture" in complex systems.
  • Familiarity with models, simulations, prototypes, and embedded test protocols.
