Description:

Rocky Mountain Christian Church places a high value on families. We believe our student ministry exists to come alongside parents and help them raise a generation that will continue to be active in their faith during and beyond their college years. The student pastor plays a vital role in our leadership team. It is their responsibility to lead our staff, volunteers, and teens in developing an environment that attracts students and helps them partner their lives with Jesus. We are looking for a person of strong character, leadership, hard worker, results driven, and who has chemistry with our team.

Essential Duties:

  • Follow guidelines presented in the Student Playbook
  • Recruit, equip, train and lead the student ministry team members and student volunteer leaders
  • Create excellent environments for students (grades 6-12)
  • Partner with parents by  equipping, and resourcing them to be the primary spiritual influence in their child’s life
  • Plan creative programs and opportunities that help students grow in their relationship with God, each other, and the world
  • Partner with the Frederick Student Pastor and Rocky Kids team to develop cohesive strategies that supports families
  • Network with local leaders to meet the needs of the students in our community 
  • Partner with local schools to reach kids who are not already connected with the church 
  • Build relationships with students
  • Plan and execute Middle School & High School camps/retreats including but not limited to summer, fall and/or winter
  • Weekend Essential Staff (Sunday-Thursday work week)
  • Must be able to perform some or all pastoral duties such as preaching, teaching, performing baptisms, serving communion, leading Bible studies, leading prayer, developing faith based programming, singing, performing weddings and funerals, and the like 
  • Other related duties as assigned
