Warehouse Lead - New 24/7 Distribution Center Startup
Moreno Valley, California
$23.00 - $25.00 per hour (based on shift assignment and experience)

We are seeking energetic, motivated, and hands-on Warehouse Leads to join our team as we launch a brand-new, state-of-the-art distribution center in Moreno Valley, CA. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a startup operation where your leadership, ideas, and expertise will help shape the culture, processes, and success of the facility.
Our operation will run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, supporting a global customer in a fast-paced logistics environment. If you thrive in a dynamic setting, enjoy leading teams, and want to make an immediate impact, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Do
As a Warehouse Lead, you will serve as the frontline leader for warehouse associates and help drive operational excellence while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and motivate a team of warehouse associates
  • Support daily operations including receiving, shipping, picking, packing, inventory, and material handling
  • Monitor productivity, quality, and attendance to ensure operational goals are achieved
  • Assist with training and onboarding new employees
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Conduct shift start-up meetings and communicate operational priorities
  • Assist supervisors with staffing plans, workflow management, and performance feedback
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and escalate concerns when necessary
  • Maintain accurate records and utilize warehouse management systems (WMS)
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and startup activities

What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years of warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or logistics experience
  • Minimum 1 year of leadership experience as a Lead, Team Lead, Trainer, or Supervisor
  • Experience working in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a startup or newly launched operation
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS)
  • Forklift certification or equipment operating experience
  • Inventory control, quality, or process improvement experience

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive movements
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment that may include varying temperatures and noise levels

Schedule
This facility operates 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Warehouse Leads may be assigned to day, evening, overnight, or weekend shifts based on business needs. Shift differentials may apply.
About the Role
How you will contribute
  • Coordinate efficient operation of the department and ensure procedures are documented and followed.
  • Assist with monitoring daily KPI's, Quality Metrics, employee timecard exceptions & productivity administration is completed accurately and on time.
  • Provide back up and support to the Supervisor and to represent him/her fully in periods of absence (sickness, holiday, business meetings, etc.) when required.
  • Liaison with all operational departments to ensure smooth work flow & maximum synergy.
  • Provide leadership to staff by establishing clear expectations and acting as a role model and assist with planning, overseeing and participating in the warehouse operations and activities.
  • Able to work required scheduled deemed necessary to meet the production goals and Key Performance Indicators of the site. Schedule may fluctuate based on the needs of the business.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Your Key Qualifications
  • HS Diploma / GED.
  • Experience in a Lead role.
  • Experience in a Logistics or Manufacturing environment.
  • Prior forklift experience.
