Position Summary:
The primary responsibilities for an installation and service technician will be to install, troubleshoot and service industrial machinery in our customers' facilities (mostly domestic, but could occasionally travel internationally).

Installation amp; Service Manager
Essential Duties (not limited to:
  • Perform a variety of duties during new product installations including start up, functional testing, and customer training.
  • Service and repair existing machines at customer facilities.
  • Troubleshoot equipment related issues both in person and over the phone.
  • When not dispatched to a customer site, this position will assist at our facility in Granite Falls, NC. Duties will include (not limited to): fabrication, set up and testing.
  • And such other tasks that may be deemed necessary by the management team.
Required Skills:
  • Strong mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical knowledge.
  • Ability to travel overnight extensively, weekends as required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate and interact with others and communicate technical concepts.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and pneumatic prints.
  • Self-starter with excellent time management skills is a must.
  • Possess strong analytical, troubleshooting and project management skills with a demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies.
  • Ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to customers' needs and manage customers’ expectations.
  • Prior woodworking / industrial machinery maintenance or operator experience.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Two (2) year Technical Associate Degree (Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics) or the equivalent combination of technical school training, military, or four (4) year industrial experience required.
  • Experience in welding and fabrication techniques.
  • Basic PLC or programming knowledge.
  • Computer or network certification for small business networks a plus.
  • Strong computer skills required with emphasis on networking and software support.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to travel domestically on a regular basis (Up to 100%) with the ability to obtain a valid passport for occasional international travel.
  • Background, MVR and pre-employment drug screen required.
Physical Demands:
  • Must be capable of wearing personal protective equipment as necessary to comply with government and company safety standards whenever engineered methods of reducing hazard or physical requirements cannot be reasonably accommodated.
  • Job includes tasks that require sitting, walking, kneeling, standing, bending, twisting, gripping, stair and ladder climbing, entering confined spaces, and occasionally lifting up to 75 lbs.
  • Travel as required for project installations.
  • Able to frequently ride in airplane and car without hesitation.
