Job description

Overnight Custodian – YMCA Caldwell, Idaho

Location: YMCA – Caldwell, Idaho
Job Type: Part-Time, Weekends
Schedule: Friday & Saturday nights, 7:00 PM – 3:30 AM (2 shifts/week, ~17 hours)
Pay: $16.00/hour to start

About the Role

The YMCA of Caldwell is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Overnight Custodian to help keep our facility clean, safe, and welcoming for members. This weekend-night position is ideal for someone who works well independently and takes pride in maintaining a high-quality environment.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize locker rooms, restrooms, and shower areas
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and buff floors throughout the facility
  • Empty trash and recycling bins; replace liners
  • Clean and disinfect gym equipment, mats, and common areas
  • Restock paper products, soap, and other supplies
  • Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to management
  • Secure doors and set alarms at the end of shift
  • Follow all YMCA safety and cleaning protocols

Qualifications

  • Previous custodial or cleaning experience preferred, but not required
  • Ability to work independently during overnight hours
  • Comfortable lifting up to 25–40 lbs and standing/walking for extended periods
