Description & Requirements
At St. Luke's, our dedicated team of Registered Nurses are critical in providing exceptional, patient-centered care. We are currently hiring for a Part -Time (0.6 FTE) Registered Nurse with at the Children's Pulmonology Clinic located in Boise at The Children's Pavilion!
What You Can Expect:
  • Patient Assessment and Intake
    • Collect vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, O2, respirations) and document patient history, medications, symptoms, and clinical concerns accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Clinical Care and Procedures
    • Perform basic clinical tasks. These tasks will vary by clinic and role, but may include: preparing and administering medications, giving injections, or assisting with procedures as directed by the provider.
  • Care Coordination and Communication
    • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary teams. Coordinate patient care including insurance prior authorizations, telephone triage, relaying test results, and ensuring timely follow-up.
  • Patient Education and Support
    • Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, preventive care, and treatment instructions, ensuring understanding and adherence.
  • Compliance and Safety Standards
    • Maintain infection control protocols, ensure proper documentation, and adhere to clinic policies, regulatory standards, and patient confidentiality requirements (HIPAA).
  • Participates in specialty clinics such as trach/vent and muscular dystrophy clinics, supporting patients with complex respiratory needs.

Schedule: 3, 8 hour shifts - Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. No weekends / holidays!

Qualifications:
  • Education: Nursing Degree
  • Experience: 1 years' experience
  • Licenses/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the State of Practice AND Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Understanding of pulmonology and asthma is ideal
