Job SummaryWe are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented and dedicated Dermatology Nurse to join our growing surgical and clinical team in 2026. You will provide specialized care for patients with a wide range of skin conditions, from chronic medical diseases like psoriasis to surgical and cosmetic treatments. This role requires a blend of clinical expertise, patient education, and technical proficiency in dermatological procedures. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure excellent patient outcomes.Minimum Qualifications

• RN: Current Registered Nurse license issued by the Mississippi Board of Nursing.

• OR LPN: Current Licensed Practical Nurse license issued by the Mississippi Board of Nursing.

• A minimum of 1 year of experience working as an RN in a medical-surgical setting is required; relevant new graduates may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

• BLS certification required for LPN; BLS or ACLS preferred for RN.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Clinical Assessment: Assist with problem-focused skin assessments and document detailed patient histories in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
  • Procedure Assistance: Assist physician with Mohs surgery, biopsies, excisions, and cosmetic treatments.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients on skin health, treatment plans, and post-operative wound care.
  • Direct Care: Administer injections, manage biologic medication authorizations, follow up on patient concerns and thoroughly document provider visits with patients.
  • Coordination: Manage patient scheduling, follow-up results, and act as a liaison between the practice and pharmacy or insurance providers.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of standard nursing principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to make sound decisions based on clinical nursing judgment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively educate
    patients and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods.

• Frequent bending, reaching, squatting, and kneeling.

• Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs independently; >50 lbs with assistance/devices.

• Assist with patient repositioning and transfers using proper body mechanics and equipment.

• Manual dexterity for clinical procedures and computer use; adequate vision, hearing, and speech.
