REGISTERED NURSE - PEDIATRIC EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT - 36 HOURS WEEKLY - NIGHT SHIFT

Sign On Bonus $7,500

Full Time Benefit Eligible 

Shift: Night shift 7:00PM to 7:30AM. Three 12-hour shifts per week, rotating every other weekend and observed holiday 

GENERAL SUMMARY

Unit Description:

Henry Ford St John Hospital's Emergency Department is a 100-bed unit consisting of Adult Emergency (75 beds), Pediatric Emergency (13 beds), and the Behavioral Health Observation Annex (12 beds).  We are a fast-paced unit consisting of Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, ER Techs, and Paramedics.  Our unit fosters a growth mindset encouraging voluntary participation in planning meetings, shared governance, and educational development.  We welcome candidates of all educational backgrounds and experiences, and ensure that you are trained to be successful in this environment.  Come join our team!

  • Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans.
  • Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
  • Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR required professional licensure at time of hire. 
  • ED and/or Pediatric experience required.


CERTIFICATION/LICENSES REQUIRED:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
