Orthopedic Surgeon| Mercy Health | Defiance, OH Location: Mercy Health Defiance Orthopedics -Defiance, OH Position Type: Full-Time Position Overview: Mercy Health Defiance Orthopedics is seeking a highly skilled and board-certified Orthopedic Surgeon to join our outpatient practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional orthopedic care with a focus on high-quality, patient-centered service. This role involves a mix of office visits, procedures, and surgical days, as well as providing consultations and call coverage.

Key Responsibilities: Patient Care: Conduct office visits, perform orthopedic procedures (e.g., injections), and offer consultative services. Surgical Duties: Perform shoulder, knee, and ankle surgeries, including robotic-assisted procedures. Consultations & Call Coverage: Participate in call coverage and consultations with the Toledo group at St

Anne, St. Charles, and Perrysburg. Collaboration: Work closely with LPNs, RNs, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Special Equipment & Services: Onsite Equipment: Radiology and laboratory services. Virtual Health: Telemedicine and consultations. Practice Support: Clinical Staff: Support from LPNs and RNs.

Ancillary Services: Access to radiology, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology, and social work. Referral Network: Established connections with primary care and specialty practices, including surgery, cardiology, OB/GYN, orthopedics, podiatry, wound care, neurology, oncology, pain management, diabetic education, behavioral health, and pulmonology. Qualifications: Board Certification: Required.

Typical Day: A typical day includes a combination of office visits, procedures (such as injections), and consultative services, with designated days for surgeries. Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM; 1-2 surgical days per week with the remaining days in-office. 10 call days per month.
