Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM


About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Slitter Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating slitting or converting equipment and be committed to producing high-quality products while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.


Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate slitting machines according to work orders and customer specifications.
  • Load and unload master rolls using forklifts, hoists, or roll-handling equipment.
  • Adjust slitting knives, spacers, and machine settings for accurate roll widths.
  • Monitor machine performance to ensure proper tension, alignment, and cutting quality.
  • Inspect finished rolls for defects and verify dimensions meet specifications.
  • Label and prepare finished products for packaging and shipment.
  • Record production data, including run times, waste, downtime, and production counts.
  • Perform routine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Work closely with production and warehouse teams to ensure smooth workflow.


Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience operating slitting or converting equipment preferred.
  • Ability to read production orders and technical specifications.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Forklift experience or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Reliable attendance and a positive attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience converting paper, film, or specialty media materials.
  • Experience with razor, score, or shear slitting systems.
  • Familiarity with ERP or production tracking systems.
  • Knowledge of roll converting measurements, including width tolerances, roll diameters, and linear footage.
