Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Jefferson City, MO (primarily on-site with occasional travel to Columbia, MO)
Pay: $20–$25 per hour (based on experience)
Benefits: Paid Time Off, Sick Time, and company reimbursement toward qualified medical insurance premiums.
Position Overview:
RE/MAX Rental Resources is seeking an organized and dependable Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of a newly managed property in Jefferson City. This position is based primarily at the Jefferson City location, with occasional travel to our Columbia office.
Responsibilities include showing available units, leasing, tenant account management, collections, inspections, compliance, and coordinating legal processes when necessary. The Property Manager works closely with residents, site managers, and office staff to ensure the property is well managed and residents receive responsive, professional service.

Successful candidates will likely have experience in property management, leasing, accounting, collections, or related fields and enjoy managing multiple priorities in a customer-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include:
  • Show available units and manage the leasing process, including applications, leases, move-ins, and renewals.
  • Respond to resident questions and concerns and connect eligible residents with rental assistance and community resources.
  • Manage tenant accounts, including collections, delinquent balances, security deposits, account audits, and reporting.
  • Conduct property inspections and maintain accurate property and tenant records.
  • Coordinate eviction proceedings with legal counsel and represent the company in court when required.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local housing laws, company policies, and property management procedures.
  • Assist with onboarding new property owners and properties in AppFolio.
  • Respond to property emergencies and coordinate appropriate follow-up.
  • Collaborate with site staff and office personnel to support day-to-day property operations.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have:
  • Two or more years of experience in property management, leasing, collections, accounting, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel.
  • Experience with AppFolio or similar property management software; experience with Lofty, ShowingTime, or FlexMLS is a plus.
  • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a corporate-insurable driving record.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

Physical Requirements:
This position includes a combination of office work and time spent throughout the property. Duties involve using a computer, showing apartments, conducting inspections, attending occasional court proceedings, and traveling periodically between the Jefferson City and Columbia offices. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals to perform the essential functions of the position.
