Armed Security Officer - Weekends

Sat-Sun (7AM-7PM)

$15.98-$17.00/Hr.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Role:The Armed Security Officer maintains a safe environment for clients, employees, and visitors by enforcing security policies and procedures. This position requires carrying a firearm, exercising sound judgment, and responding to threats professionally. Officers conduct patrols, monitor surveillance and access control, respond to alarms and emergencies, maintain detailed logs, and coordinate with law enforcement when necessary. Strong alertness, integrity, customer service, and calmness under pressure are essential. Officers must be properly licensed, trained in firearm safety, and compliant with all regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid state Security Officer/Guard License (or ability to obtain).
  • 21+ years old.
  • Must pass armed training and possess a valid pistol permit.

Duties & Responsibilities

Security Operations:

  • Conduct regular walking patrols to enhance safety and report concerns.
  • Monitor facility access points; verify IDs and credentials.
  • Enforce security procedures per Post Instructions.

Incident Response & Reporting:

  • Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents per protocol.
  • Maintain accurate activity, observation, and incident logs.
  • Complete routine tasks such as locking/unlocking doors, monitoring cameras, and managing security systems.

Customer Service & Professionalism:

  • Assist visitors and employees and address concerns professionally.
  • Enforce SEI and Client policies (e.g., smoking, loitering, parking).
  • Maintain a clean, pressed uniform and professional appearance.

Required Skills & Abilities

Minimum:

  • Ability to perform in fast-paced, potentially stressful environments.
  • Availability to work weekends if needed.
  • Strong situational awareness and curiosity.
  • Ability to remain calm, problem-solve, and act effectively during critical situations.
  • Basic computer skills; ability to use a tablet for reporting.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
