Both roles require similar certifications and often work in similar environments, but the Weekend Security Guard primarily works during weekends, while the Night Security Guard covers overnight shifts. Weekend security guards patrol and protect a property on Saturdays and Sundays. These weekend positions often focus on places that are open over the weekend, such as night clubs, bars, and residential or commercial properties that need additional surveillance over the weekend. Facilities that hire weekend security guards may have weekday shifts as well, but this is not always the case. In this role, you may monitor security cameras, file incident reports, and use existing protocols to determine the best way to handle each situation. Some companies may only want you to contact law enforcement when problems occur while others may expect you to personally intervene to resolve security issues. Weekend security guards may work day or night shifts.

DUTIES
The Security Guard has primary responsibility to protect people, property, information and the reputation of Minnesota Masonic Home. This position will represent Minnesota Masonic Home, performing duties in a courteous and professional manner that conveys a positive image of the organization and that fosters cooperation and support with staff, residents, visitors and external agencies.
The position will respond to a wide variety of routine guest service and emergency support calls requiring various problem-solving techniques, judgement and verbal de-escalation.
Also, providing support to all staff and customer's requests and having a responsibility in all Guest Services departments including maintenance, housekeeping, receptionists, and materials management.
SCHEDULE
Every Other Saturday and Sunday 3:30pm - 12am
QUALIFICATION
Must have Valid MN Driver's License
