Job description

Receptionist Part Time - Every Weekend, 2nd Shift 2:30pm – 11pm

Perform all front desk clerical duties for the facility.  Act as greeter for visitors.  These statements are intended to describe the nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this position.  This is not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities and duties required of the job incumbents.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Receive and transfer incoming general information calls.
  2. Act as receptionist for visitors, employees and residents.
  3. Page personnel as needed. 
  4. Various photocopying, computer and typing assignments.
  5. Sell stamps and provide change for convenience of residents and visitors. 
  6. Comply with department and facility procedures, fire prevention and safety standards.
  7. Sort newspapers for residents.
  8. Sort mail for staff, residents
  9. Make announcements of various programs.
  10. Keep resident’s roster in current status.
  11. Responsible for processing all mail through the postage meter.  .
  12. Take messages for Departments out of the office.
  13. Must be in compliance with HIPAA regulations at all times.
  14. Must be eighteen (18) years of age.
  15. Must be a high school graduate with business coursework preferred.
  16. Must be able to type 35 words per minute.
  17. Attend appropriate in-services.
  18. Perform miscellaneous and Business Offices duties as assigned.

Other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisor.  Additional duties may be required, although they may be assigned to another employee due to special circumstances applicable to the employee
