Job description

Weekend 2nd shift Production Operator
WEEKLY PAY
Pay Rate: $24.51 per hour plus shift differential
Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)
Job Category: Regular Full-Time
Department: Production
Location: Louisville, KY
Schedule:
Friday: 1:30pm-2:00am
Saturday: 2:30pm-3:00am
Sunday: 3:30pm-4:00am
Basic Function
Support Algood's core values by incorporating them in daily thoughts and actions.
Monitoring, operating, and adjusting production equipment to maintain production goals.
Organizational Relationships
Reports to: Production Supervisor
Supervises: This position has no direct reports
Standards of Performance
โ€ข Working knowledge of various packaging equipment on the retail production lines
โ€ข Operate equipment to optimal safety, quality, and efficiency standards
โ€ข High level of initiative
โ€ข Ability to be flexible regarding work hours (OT)
โ€ข Good attendance
โ€ข Team player
โ€ข Ability to interface with PLCs to control/operate equipment effectively
โ€ข Ability to locate and stage materials as needed
โ€ข Ability to perform sanitation tasks on equipment
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
โ€ข Operate, monitor, and adjust machinery on the production line and be able to quickly identify any malfunctions of machine
or outputs
โ€ข Stop machines and report any malfunctions immediately
โ€ข Assisting in rework during idle production times
โ€ข Responsible for completing all necessary documentation in a timely manner
โ€ข Staging and loading packaging for the products that will be produced on the line
โ€ข Ensure continuous cleaning required throughout the shift
โ€ข Inspect all materials, ingredients, and inventory to ensure food safety procedures are followed
โ€ข Ensure an open line of communication to management/supervisors.
โ€ข Coordinate breaks/lunches with other Operators and Supervisor
โ€ข Other duties as assigned by management
Mental and Physical Requirements
โ€ข Ability to maintain considerable concentration with frequent time pressures and interruptions
โ€ข Ability to maintain visual attention for extended periods of time
โ€ข Language Skills: Ability to speak, read, and write in the English language. Ability to analyze and interpret common instructions
and schedules
โ€ข Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units or measure
โ€ข Ability to occasionally lift or carry minimal weights up to 50 pounds
โ€ข Ability to occasionally reach, squat, kneel, climb, push, or pull.
โ€ข Ability to manipulate necessary office equipment including computer software, hardware, and equipment
โ€ข Must comply with all health and safety requirements
Working Environment and Conditions
โ€ข This position requires working in an internal environment.
Education, Experience, and Training
โ€ข Requires a high school diploma/GED
โ€ข Previous related experience required
โ€ข At minimum of 2-3 years' experience in Food Manufacturing
โ€ข Language Skills: Ability to speak clearly and distinctly. Ability to read, analyze and interpret common instructions and
schedules
โ€ข Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure.
โ€ข Reasoning Ability: Apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions or procedures furnished in written,
oral, or diagrammatic form. Ability to deal with problems that arise on a day to day basis
โ€ข HACCP and SQF training required
โ€ข Forklift experience preferred
