Job Description
Ready to Help Shape the Future of Legal Tech?!
At Litera, we don't just build software, we transform how the world's top law firms operate. Every day, we Raise The Bar™️ for what's possible through AI, innovation, and solutions that power millions of legal professionals worldwide. If you're energized by scale, real impact, and meaningful challenges, you'll feel right at home here.
Where You'll Work
This is a hybrid role based in Denver, Colorado with the expectations to be in office at least 3 days a week for collaboration and connection.
Why This Role Matters
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Salesforce Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Salesforce Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying customized solutions on the Salesforce platform to meet the unique needs of our organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including senior leadership, system administrators, and stakeholders, to gather requirements and implement solutions that enhance our business processes and drive efficiency.
What You'll Deliver
  • Design, develop, and implement customized solutions on the Salesforce platform, utilizing Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and other relevant technologies.

  • Collaborate with Operations leads and stakeholders to gather and understand requirements, and translate them into technical solutions.

  • Develop and maintain integrations between Salesforce and other systems using tools like REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, and ETL tools.

  • Implement and maintain complex workflows, process automation, and data validation rules to streamline business processes.

  • Perform unit testing, code reviews, and quality assurance to ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code.

  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and support.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues reported by users, providing timely support and solutions.

  • Stay up-to-date with Salesforce platform updates, new features, and best practices to continually enhance system capabilities.

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers as needed.

  • Document technical specifications, processes, and solutions.

Must Haves:
  • 3+ years of experience as a Salesforce Engineer or Developer, with a focus on enterprise-level development.

  • Strong proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura Components, and Salesforce platform capabilities.

  • Experience with Salesforce integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, and ETL tools.

  • Familiarity with declarative development tools like Process Builder, Flow, and Workflow Rules.

  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.

  • Strong ability to analyze complex technical issues.

  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Comfortable incorporating AI tools into your development workflow - using tools like Cursor, Copilot, or agentic coding assistants to accelerate delivery without sacrificing code quality.

Nice-to-haves:
  • Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I and II are a plus.
  • Experience with version control systems and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes is desirable.

What You'll Experience
  • A team that shows up. Work alongside people who collaborate, support one another, and lead with integrity.

  • Global Reach. Partner with teams around the world to solve complex challenges that matter.

  • Real opportunity for growth. Expand your impact through meaningful stretch opportunities, visibility and career development.

  • AI-driven innovation. Work at the intersection of legal technology, customer outcomes, and cutting-edge AI.
