Job Title: Detailer

Job Classification: Non-exempt

Reports to: Detail Lead

Salary Range: Detailer 

Job Purpose

Detailers provide interior and exterior cleaning services that meet company specifications. Detailers handle everything from washing and vacuuming to more intensive cleaning jobs, including steaming and deodorizing interiors, and applying waxes, polishes, or protective agents.

Essential Functions

  • Clean RV's and travel trailers inside and outside based on established detail procedures
  • May operate carpet shampooers, pressure washers, chemical mixing station, standers and other equipment to clean, wax, polish, prep and refurbish new and used units
  • Reach reconditioning goals and/or delivery dates set forth by management
  • Create and maintain a clean and safe work environment 
  • Collaborate with team members 
  • Report any damage found or caused to management 
  • Maintain dealership's standard of excellence in quality and service
  • Notify management of any equipment in need of repair
  • May perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned

Requirements

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years dealership detail experience washing and detailing new and used units
  • At least 2 years Prior housekeeping or janitorial experience a plus
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean, insurable, driving record
  • Proven ability to work in all elements of weather
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Works well in a collaborative team environment
  • Uphold the company values that provide a positive culture and work environment
  • Self-directed; needs minimal supervision
  • Willingness to learn and take direction 
  • Demonstrated history of reliability in attendance 
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including walking, crouching, stooping, bending, and standing for extended periods of time
  • May be requested to work atop unit rooftops and/or reach rooftops via scaffolding or ladder
  • Will maintain safe working conditions by adhering to company safety policies and procedures.

Working conditions

This position is exposed to outdoor environment weather elements and conditions. The position works around multiple moving small and large vehicles and forklifts. This position is exposed to chemicals used to clean the units.

Physical requirements

Prolonged periods of physical activity including positioning self to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, walk, and bend. The position may ascend/descend units and work atop slippery surfaces. May transport or move up to 25 lbs. and/or transport or move up to 50 lbs. with assistive devices. Vision requirements to view details at close range. Use of hands and arms handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating workspace. Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time. Appropriate personal protective equipment will be provided for use of chemicals including, but not limited to, respirator and safety glasses.
