Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) Weekend Warrior Manageable caseloads, flexibility, and meaningful hospice work that allows you to focus on quality patient care.
Join our team as a Weekend Warrior RN, supporting patient care from Friday through Monday. This full-time position offers flexibility in scheduling. For example, a typical schedule may start around 2:30 PM on Friday and continue through Monday morning (around 10:00 AM), but we are open to adjusting hours to fit the right candidate while maintaining weekend coverage.
Schedule, Hours & Territory โข Weekend coverage from Friday through Monday with flexible start and end times to fit your schedule. โข This role includes on-call responsibilities, along with completing scheduled visits as needed. โข Lansing, MI, and the surrounding communities within approximately a one-hour driving radius.

Key Responsibilities โข Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care โข Provide skilled nursing care in accordance with hospice standards and physician orders โข Coordinate care with physicians, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members โข Educate patients and families on symptom management, disease progression, and end-of-life care โข Document assessments, interventions, and care plans accurately and in a timely manner in the EMR HCHB (Homecare Homebase) โข Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning โข Support after-hours patient needs as part of an on-call rotation when applicable
Qualifications
โข Active Registered Nurse (RN) license โข Hospice or home health experience preferred โข Strong clinical assessment and care coordination skills โข Ability to work independently in the field โข Strong communication and documentation skills โข Experience using HCHB (Homecare Homebase) preferred
Field Role Requirements โข Active driver's license โข Ability to pass a criminal background check โข Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check โข Current TB testing in accordance with agency policy โข Current CPR certification as required for the role
