As a weekend RN, you take shifts on the weekend when other nurses are unavailable, allowing hospitals and other care facilities to provide continuity of care and remain open 24/7. This is usually a part-time position, with most weekend RN's working two 8-12 hour shifts Saturday-Sunday each week. In this role, you may make patient visits, answer telephone calls to provide remote healthcare and address any medical emergencies that occur during your shift as a weekend nurse. Seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Skilled Nursing / Long-Term Care team. This is a night-shift role with opportunities to pick up additional hours. Ideal candidates are compassionate, detail-oriented, and committed to providing high-quality patient care.
Provide patient care following established protocols, including treatments and procedures.
Observe patients and report any adverse reactions to medications or treatments.
Administer medications according to licensure, policy, and State Practice Act.
Respond promptly to patient requests and report significant observations to the RN.
Participate in care planning and assist in implementing patient care plans.
Demonstrate knowledge of hospital policies, emergency procedures, and patient care standards.
Educate patients on self-care as directed by the RN and document care provided.
Active Illinois RN License required.
Minimum 2 years of experience in Skilled Nursing or Long-Term Care settings.
BLS/BCLS certification required.
Experience with EPIC EMR preferred.
