Job description

We are currently hiring for a full time Registered Nurse (RN) within the Surgery department here at Aspen Valley Health.

Work Shift:

Rotating - 12 Hours

Compensation Range:

$43.19 - $69.10 Night and weekend shift differentials up to $10 per hour! Eligible new hires may qualify for a sign on bonus up to $10,000.

The compensation range listed is an estimate. Final compensation will be determined based on your qualifications including years of experience performing similar work, level of formal education in a relevant field of study, and any professional certifications related to the position.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
  • Associate degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date
  • Basic Life Support (BLS). May be obtained upon hire.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's (BSN) or Master's (MSN) in Nursing preferred.
  • Experience at a Joint Commission accredited facility with an official Operating Room Training Program preferred.
  • Orthopedic experience as an OR RN preferred.
  • Scrub and Circulating experience preferred.
  • Successful completion of Periop 101 preferred.
  • Experience with EPIC preferred.

Position Overview:

The Operating Room RN provides professional nursing care in accordance with known/accepted standards of practice and AVH policy. Utilizes the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care. Works in support of the medical staff treatment plan and makes recommendations for changes to medical treatment plan as appropriate. The OR RN educates patients and family around the plan of care and disease management. Actively supports the nursing philosophy by striving for excellence in patient care, professional development, interpersonal relations, time management, and continuous quality improvement.
