Job description

Parsons Hill Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Worcester is hiring an every other weekend RN Nursing Supervisor!

7a–7p at $50 an hour.

As our RN Nursing Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest level of quality resident care is maintained at all times. We are a 162-bed skilled nursing facility with a large SUDS population.

Job Responsibilities
  • Direct the total nursing care activities in the facility, working closely with the Director of Nursing Services
  • Develop, update, and communicate resident care plans
  • Ensure staff is implementing care plans and performing care activities appropriately
  • Maintain current resident care plans and respond to changes in resident status
  • Follow physician orders and transmit them promptly and accurately
  • Document comprehensive and complete nursing notes
  • Administer medication according to procedure, if applicable
  • Initiate emergency procedures as needed
  • Conduct oversight of Charge Nurses and CNA performances
  • Contribute to positive resident and family relations
Requirements
  • Current, unencumbered license to practice as an RN in Massachusetts
  • CPR certification
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in a hospital, long‑term care facility, or related healthcare facility
  • Strong assessment skills and knowledge of restorative nursing and rehabilitation policies
  • Ability to make independent decisions and deal tactfully with personnel, residents, and families
  • Knowledge of nursing and medical practices, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care
  • Leadership and supervisory ability, with a willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel
