Registered Nurse Routine Foot Care

This position will primarily support the Luxemburg, and East De Pere locations. This position will train at our St Mary's Podiatry Clinic in HSHS in Green Bay. This role is full time at 40 hours per week. Come be a part of our growing Podiatry team!

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse Routine Foot Care at Prevea plays a crucial role as an integral member of our clinic team, delivering patient-centered care. They provide patient care, educate patients and their families, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the best possible care. The Registered Nurse III primarily provides direct patient care in areas/specialties that required specialized certifications. The Registered Nurse III is accountable for the deliver of exceptional and safe care within the scope of practice as defined by the Wisconsin Board of Nursing and Prevea's policies. Through collaborative practice with members of the Prevea team, they are responsible for patient outcomes that meet the high quality of care provided by Prevea.

What You Will Do
  • Provides direct patient care which includes, but is not limited to the rooming of patients, obtaining medical information, performing comprehensive initial patient assessment and reassessment pertinent to specialty area of practice, administer medications and monitor for reactions or side effects, and maintains patient charts/records.
  • Follow nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Communicates information with patients, physician or advanced practice providers and staff to ensure quality and continuity of care.
  • Assists the physician or advanced practice provider with procedures, notes their instructions/orders and makes necessary arrangements to ensure that they are carried out.
  • Communicates relevant clinical information to the care team, physicians, and/or advanced practice providers to optimize patient outcomes. Triages patient, family, external provider, or affiliate staff's concerns/inquiries.
  • Manages patient/family health concerns through telephone triage. Actively seeks information to understand patient circumstances, problems, expectations, and needs.
  • Facilitates caller's access to appropriate level of care by assessing needs and offering clinical options using medical judgment within scope of licensure. May also refer to health care providers, services, and community resources.
Education Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited and approved Nursing program Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred
Experience Qualifications
  • 1-3 years Registered Nurse experience Preferred
Skills and Abilities
  • Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective work relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and behaviors
  • Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment
  • Competent in patient education/teaching
  • Ability to assist providers with exams, test, and treatments
  • Strong patient assessment skills in person and on tech phone in a high volume, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to administer immunizations and medications
Licenses and Certifications
  • Current Wisconsin RN license (or compact equivalent; nurses must maintain or update their primary state of residence to Wisconsin to ensure continued eligibility under the compact) Upon Hire Required
  • CPR/BLS - Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification from an approved program Upon Hire Required
  • Certification as a Certified Foot Care Specialist (CFCS) within 90 Days Required
