RN Emergency Dept (Weekend Track)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Shift: Nights 7pm-7am Friday & Saturday or Saturday/Sunday

Hours Per Week: 24 hours (Receive pay for 36 hours)

Hiring range: Starting at $38.50 hourly.

The posted pay range contains shift differentials. Registered Nurses (RN's) are eligible for additional compensation based on the shifts worked.

  • Weekday evening shift - additional 10% plus $2.00 per hour
  • Weekday night shift - an additional 15% plus $3.00 per hour
  • Weekend day shift – an additional 10%
  • Weekend evening & night shifts – an additional 21%

The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

Weekend Commitment:
  • Required to work every weekend Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday 7p-7a
  • Eligible for 4 paid weekends paid time off per year (weekend per quarter based on PTO accrual)
  • Must commit to working all scheduled weekends per contract agreement
  • Must work holidays that fall on scheduled weekends
Compensation:
  • Competitive base pay plus night shift differential
  • Premium pay: Work 24 hours, paid for 36 hours per week
  • Weekend differential applicable

Full-time benefits eligibility

Responsibilities:

  • Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
  • Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
  • Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

Education: High School Diploma/GED required. Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

Required Credential(s): BLS Provider obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Registered Nurse credentialed from the New York Board of Nursing. Must be able to speak, read, write and follow instructions in English.

Complexity of Work: Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment.

Personal Protective Equipment: Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
