Job Summary:

Turning Point of Tampa is seeking a compassionate and skilled Behavioral Health Technician to join our team. As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to individuals with addiction and mental health challenges. Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to clients, focusing on daily living skills, social skills, and emotional regulation

  • Assist with behavioral interventions and crisis management, ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists, psychiatrists, and nurses, to implement individualized treatment plans

  • Participate in activities, such as recreation therapy, educational programs, and community outings, to promote client engagement and socialization

  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of client progress and treatment plans

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (e.g., psychology, social work) preferred

  • Ability to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

  • Experience working in mental/behavioral health environment preferred

  • Experience with the 12-Step program required

  • Must have an acceptable driving record and complete a background check
