Job description

Position Overview:

Join BCM One as a Technical Implementation Engineer on the Enterprise Solutions team. This role supports primarilypostsalesimplementations and focuses on planning and executing complex network deployments and migrations for enterprise customers transitioning from existing infrastructure into BCM One-managed environments.

The role requires adeep understanding of routing protocols, network design, and implementation, withhandsonexperience across routing, switching, security, and SDWAN technologies.You'llwork directly on migration planning and cutovers, act as an escalation point for complex technical issues, andmentor internal engineerson advanced network design and migration execution.

The ideal candidate is highly technical, with strong experience in routing, design, and implementation, and proven ability to execute network migrations while supporting other technical team members.


Work Location:

This position may be hybrid or fully remote. Preference will be given to candidates located in or near our Herndon, VA office location. Candidates must live in and be authorized to work in the United States; this position is not eligible for relocation or sponsorship.


Hours:

Eastern business hours, with flexibility to support customers in other time zones, including the UK and the West Coast. Project needs may require evening or weekend coverage approximately 15-20% of the time.


Travel:

Fewer than five trips per year for company meetings or team-building events.


What You Will Do:

  • Configuration & Activation of Services:Execute complex configuration, provisioning, and activation tasksrequiredto deliver managed services for clients. Lead the planning, design, and execution of sophisticated network migrations to ensure seamless transitions and minimal service disruption.
  • Client-Facing Deployment Support:Provide high quality,timelytechnical support throughout the deployment lifecycle. Serve as a trusted technical point of contact, ensuring client needs are met and delivering a positive, informed onboarding experience.
  • Service Deployment & Global Maintenance:Contribute to the deployment and ongoing maintenance of global managed service offerings, ensuring consistent performance, high availability, and strong security across all regions. Perform andvalidatecomplex configuration changes as part of the MAC (Moves, Adds, Changes) process.
  • Advanced Technical Problem Solving:Apply expert-level troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve issuesencounteredduring deployment. Collaborate cross-functionally to remove technical blockers and ensure smooth, on-schedule project delivery.
  • Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence:Identifyopportunities to enhance deployment processes, tooling, and methodologies. Recommend and implement improvements that increase efficiency, reduce errors, and elevate the overall quality of service delivery.


What You Will Need:

  • 5+ years ofprovenexperiencein technical consulting, service deployment, or a related technical role,with a comprehensive understanding of managed services and voice technologies
  • Experience with Cisco and Meraki solutions,including:Cisco ISR, ASR, and Catalyst routers, Cisco Catalyst switches, Meraki MX, MS, MR, and CW platforms
  • Strong network design experience, including WAN circuits, routing architectures, and multi-site network topologies
  • Ability to produce scalable network designs and Visio diagrams for both technical and executive audiences
  • Cisco certifications at the CCNP level or abovesuch asCCNP Enterprise, CCDP (Design), and/or Cisco SD-WAN Specialist, required
  • Hands-on experience with routing protocols, including: OSPF, EIGRP and BGP
  • Experience with switching technologies, including: STP, RSTP, and MST and First Hop Redundancy Protocols (HSRP, VRRP)
  • Knowledge of network virtualization concepts,including:VRF, VLAN segmentation, andMulti-tenantarchitectures
  • Experience with tunneling and overlay technologies:IPsec, GRE, MGRE, DMVPN, and SD-WAN architectures
  • Experience with access and monitoring:SNMP and TACACS / TACACS+
  • Device Hardening: Security best practices for routers, switches, and edge devices
  • Experience in technical customer service or remote activation support
  • Knowledge of deployment tools, automation systems, and monitoring solutions
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills, with the ability to unravel complicated issues and devise effective solutions
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills, with the aptitude to effectively handle both internal teams and clients
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Ribbon,Adtran,Cradlepoint,Peplink,OpenGear, and Versa, preferred
