Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team. This role requires 10+ years of hands-on experience as an Oracle Administrator and at least 3+ years of experience with MS SQL and PostgreSQL to maintain a reliable, scalable, and fault-tolerant database infrastructure for our growing customer base.
Key Responsibilities:
Database Administration & Support:
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot RHEL/OEL OS supporting Oracle databases in physical and virtualized environments.
  • Provide DBA services to application development, professional services, and support teams, including database design, query validation/execution, and performance tuning.
  • Troubleshoot database alerts, logs, jobs, disk groups, tablespaces, and resolve performance-related issues.
  • Automate database tasks and develop scripts to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.

Infrastructure & Security:
  • Lead the design and implementation of database infrastructure solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Manage the implementation of technical controls to enforce security policies.
  • Ensure compliance with SOC2/ISO27001 audits and adhere to all audited controls.

Backup & Disaster Recovery (DR):
  • Design, implement, and maintain DR methodologies, ensuring documentation is up to date.
  • Periodically validate Oracle 19c backup/recovery operations using RMAN.
  • Assume responsibility for documenting and maintaining disaster recovery plans for each supported system.

Technical Leadership & Mentorship:
  • Research, evaluate, design, test, and recommend new database software versions and related tools.
  • Act as a mentor for junior DBAs and provide technical guidance.
  • Assist development teams in improving database design and PL/SQL best practices.

On-Call & Availability:
  • Provide 24/7 on-call rotational support, including occasional weekend coverage.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools like DataDog, Solarwinds, site24/7 or OEM.

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience with Oracle 19c+ administration.
  • 3+ years of experience with MS SQL 2012+ and PostgreSQL.
  • Hands-on experience using Solarwinds as a monitoring tool is essential.
  • Strong expertise in PL/SQL coding, debugging, and query optimization.
  • Proficiency in Linux system administration and bash scripting.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud, Azure SQL, and PowerShell scripting.
  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure design, security best practices, and compliance.
  • Experience with high-availability database solutions (clustering, replication, failover strategies).
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

The salary range in United States of America for this position is 99,000.00 to 124,000.00 USD Annual.
Your specific offer within this range will be determined by your skills, experience, and qualifications. For non-sales roles, you may be eligible for a bonus. For sales roles, this range includes a commission target.
