As a school-based social worker, you will interact closely with educators, administrators, and parents, working collaboratively to create a supportive network for students. • Conduct thorough assessments to identify clients’ social, emotional, and psychological needs, tailoring your approach to individual circumstances.
• Provide both individual and group counseling sessions using evidence-based therapeutic techniques, facilitating sessions that might focus on life skills, trauma coping mechanisms, or stress reduction.
• Develop and implement comprehensive service plans that align with clients’ goals, including intervention strategies and follow-up assessments to measure progress.
• Act as an advocate for clients, ensuring their rights are upheld and they have access to the necessary resources to support their well-being.
• Engage in program development and evaluation, contributing to grant reporting processes to demonstrate the impact of our services and secure funding for future initiatives.
• Collaborate with local community organizations and government agencies to amplify our service offerings and address multifaceted social issues.
• Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to ensure continuous professional development and maintain alignment with organizational goals.

This role primarily focuses on addressing the needs of school-aged children and their families, who may be dealing with a range of challenges such as anxiety, depression, family dynamics, and academic stress. As the bridge between the school and the family unit, you will be instrumental in fostering an environment where students can thrive academically and socially.

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program is required.
• Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Demonstrated understanding of trauma-informed care practices and their application in real-world settings.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases effectively and engage in ongoing self-reflection and professional growth.
• Exceptional communication skills, allowing for the establishment of trust and rapport with clients of diverse backgrounds.

• Previous experience working in a similar nonprofit environment or educational institution is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with community resources and referral systems to provide comprehensive support to clients.
• A solid understanding of advocacy and social justice initiatives related to educational settings.
