Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) to join our team at The Recovery Care Center. In this full-time remote position, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional mental health services to individuals facing end-of-life challenges in our hospice setting. Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate a holistic approach to patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment options, and medications to empower informed decision-making.
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions, implementing evidence-based modalities to enhance treatment efficacy.
  • Develop comprehensive treatment plans in partnership with the treatment team, incorporating input from patients and aligning with their personal goals and preferences.
  • Advocate for patients navigating the complex mental health system, ensuring their rights and needs are met throughout their care journey.
  • Facilitate psychoeducation sessions and therapeutic groups, enhancing patient engagement and support within their care plans.
  • Participate in discharge planning meetings to ensure continuity of care and ongoing support post-treatment.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse patient population, primarily focusing on individuals facing terminal illnesses and their families. This role requires deep empathy, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a commitment to providing compassionate support throughout the end-of-life process.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program is required.
  • Active state licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW).
  • Extensive knowledge of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and crisis intervention strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in hospice or end-of-life care is highly desirable.
