This role operates in a fully remote setting, allowing for significant flexibility while maintaining structured hours. Counselors will coordinate their own schedules to complete a full 40-hour workweek, primarily within Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend shifts as necessary. Although the position is remote, counselors are expected to maintain high standards of professionalism and connectivity with team members and clients.

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations to assess the initial needs of patients and formulate appropriate treatment plans.
• Provide crisis intervention and stabilization services for clients facing acute psychological distress.
• Collaborate with families to educate them on social, environmental, and financial factors impacting their mental health and treatment options.
• Coordinate with other healthcare providers and departments, including the Department of Correction, to ensure seamless patient care and appropriate referrals.
• Lead structured group therapy sessions on mental health observation units and other settings as assigned, facilitating discussions that inspire recovery and support.
• Complete and maintain all required documentation, ensuring compliance with legal and professional standards.
• Participate in regular clinical supervision sessions with a Clinical Supervisor to promote professional growth and delivery of quality care.
• Engage in treatment planning discussions during case conferences for patients actively receiving and those being considered for mental health treatment.
• Possibly conduct psychological testing and supervise social work interns or volunteers as part of the development process within our team.

The Mental Health Counselor will work primarily with children, adolescents, and their families facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral disorders. • A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling is required.
• Eligibility for licensure required: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• Experience working in outpatient mental health settings with a focus on working with children and families.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct crisis interventions effectively.
• Familiarity with legal standards and ethical practices in mental health counseling.
