Heartlight Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. This role is pivotal for delivering comprehensive mental health services to individuals experiencing a range of mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. This position is fully remote, allowing for flexible scheduling, including options for evenings and weekends. You will be part of a compassionate team dedicated to mental health, which includes psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals. • Conduct detailed assessments to evaluate clients' mood disorder symptoms, assessing their severity, frequency, and duration.
• Collaborate with clients to create individualized treatment plans that are tailored to meet their specific needs, preferences, and goals.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support client recovery.
• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, providing insights into treatment options and effective self-care strategies.
• Regularly monitor patient progress, documenting any changes and adjusting treatment plans as needed to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
• Work closely with psychiatrists and other professionals to ensure integrated and comprehensive care for each client.
• Keep abreast of the latest research in the field of mental health, utilizing new findings to enhance therapeutic practices.
• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation of all client interactions, assessment results, and treatment plans to comply with legal and ethical standards.
• Engage in team meetings, consultations, and professional development opportunities to continuously improve clinical skills and stay informed on best practices.
• Act as a strong advocate for clients, promoting awareness and de-stigmatization of mood disorders, and addressing their mental health needs through community outreach.

You will primarily work with a diverse population experiencing mood disorders. This may include clients from varied socioeconomic backgrounds, addressing issues related to behavioral problems and emotional disorders, and supporting the overall mental health community. By developing personalized treatment interventions, you will help clients manage their conditions effectively and improve their quality of life.

• Possession of a valid license as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT.
• A Master’s degree in Social Work or Marriage and Family Therapy, accompanied by current licensure.
• A strong understanding of California laws and professional ethics relevant to mental health.
• Must pass a background check through the FBI and DOJ.
• A current TB test, completed within the last six months.

• Minimum of three years of experience in mental health counseling, with specific knowledge of mood disorders and associated treatment methodologies.
• Experience working within community health settings or clinics is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to work with clients experiencing learning disabilities, behavioral challenges, and emotional disorders.

Heartlight Counseling Center offers a competitive salary range of USD 115,000 – 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
