Position Overview

Best Care Psychological and Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. This position offers professionals the rare opportunity to provide therapy in a flexible work environment, leveraging telehealth tools to reach and support clients. The ideal candidate should possess at least two years of experience in counseling and hold a valid license as an LCMFT, LCPC, LCP, LCSW, or LSCSW in the state of Kansas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments, including psychosocial evaluations and diagnostic interviews, to identify the specific needs and challenges faced by each client.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop individualized treatment plans that encompass their personal, emotional, and cultural needs, while setting achievable goals.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), during individual, couple, family, and group therapy sessions.
  • Provide crisis intervention services as needed, ensuring that clients in acute distress receive timely support and guidance.
  • Maintain meticulous clinical documentation, including progress notes and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with all clinic policies and regulatory frameworks.
  • Empower clients and their families through psychoeducation, providing them with essential tools and knowledge to manage their mental health effectively.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including psychiatrists and case managers, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
  • Regularly assess treatment effectiveness through outcome measurements and adjust strategies as necessary to enhance client well-being.
  • Engage in continuous professional development by staying updated with current research, best practices, and emerging trends in mental health care.
  • Uphold ethical standards and confidentiality in every aspect of your interactions with clients, thereby fostering trust and safety within the therapeutic environment.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve working with a diverse clientele, including individuals struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, and various mental health disorders. Your ability to create a welcoming atmosphere will significantly enhance the therapeutic experience of clients, promoting healing and resilience.

Qualifications
  • A masterโ€™s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCMFT, LCPC, LCP, LCSW, or LSCSW within the state of Kansas.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a capacity to build rapport with clients from varied cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of two years of professional experience providing mental health counseling in a clinical setting.
