Ascension Mental and Counseling Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team in a fully remote outpatient setting. This full-time position is designed for professionals who hold a valid license as an LCMFT, LCPC, LCP, LCSW, or LSCSW. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments, including psychosocial evaluations and risk assessments, to identify client needs.
  • Develop tailored treatment plans in collaboration with clients, addressing their specific goals, preferences, and cultural backgrounds.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) in one-on-one sessions, groups, and family contexts.
  • Provide crisis intervention and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients in distress.
  • Maintain meticulous clinical documentation, including treatment plans and progress notes, aligned with clinic policies and legal standards.
  • Offer psychoeducation resources to empower clients and their families, equipping them with tools and knowledge to manage mental health challenges effectively.
  • Participate in regular consultations with psychiatrists, psychologists, and case managers to optimize client care outcomes.
  • Assess the effectiveness of treatment strategies and adjust plans based on regular outcome evaluations and client feedback.
  • Stay abreast of latest mental health research and best practices and incorporate new knowledge into clinical work.
  • Uphold ethical standards and patient confidentiality throughout all interactions and documentation.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCMFT, LCPC, LCP, LCSW, or LSCSW in the state of Kansas.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with proficiency in building rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in mental health counseling, particularly in trauma-informed care.
  • Experience using telehealth platforms and online tools for patient interaction and documentation.
