The Medical Receptionist (Scheduler) is an essential member of a medium-sized healthcare team, responsible for managing patient appointments and ensuring seamless communication between patients and medical staff. This role requires direct patient interaction, proficiency in scheduling and electronic medical record systems, and careful verification of insurance information, including vision insurance. A friendly and professional demeanor is crucial for both in-person reception and phone correspondence.

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming phone calls promptly using a cloud-based phone system
  • Screen and manage voicemail messages efficiently
  • Schedule patient appointments using specialized scheduling software
  • Welcome and register patients upon arrival with professionalism
