Entry‑Level Rail Yard Driver/Operator (Union)

Pacific Trailer Repair Services – CSX Bedford Park, IL.
$17.00/hour to start.
Multiple shifts available.
Union position with full benefits.
The Job:
Pacific Rail Services (PRS) is hiring Entry‑Level Union Rail Yard Driver/Operators at the CSX Bedford Park Terminal. This is a full‑time position with paid company training for the right candidate. No experience or CDL required.
We are a 24/7 operation, so candidates must be flexible to work any shift.
Pay & Schedule:
  • $17.00/hour starting pay. After passding the 60 day probationary period, you're eligible for a raise in line the the Union agreement.
  • Weekly pay.
  • Overtime available after probationary period.
  • 8‑hour shifts.
  • Shift options:
    • 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM.
    • 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM.
    • 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM.
  • Weekends & holidays required.
  • Railroad operates 24/7/365.

What You’ll Do:
  • Drive hostler/jockey trucks to move trailers, containers, and chassis.
  • Prepare railcars for loading and unloading.
  • Climb railcars and secure equipment.
  • Assist crane operators using hand signals.
  • Stack/unstack chassis and work as part of a team.
